Investors and houseowners in the UK remain very cautious following the terrorist attacks in the US, being unwilling to either buy or sell. Some financial services firms are responding by offering new products allowing investors to hold their money in a secure cash account until markets become calmer.

Watchdog says it could not stop a second Maxwell pensions scandal

The organization acknowledges that there are still ways of defrauding pension schemes.
