Article Abstract:

Circuses have been affected by local councils refusing use of their land when wild animals, which attract audiences, are used in the circus and by 17.5% VAT on entertainment. Business techniques include artists doubling as car park attendants and usherettes. The Association of Circus Proprietors says there are 12 large touring circuses and eight smaller ones in Britain.

This goes directly against the government's vision of 'wealth cascading down through the generations.'
