Commercializing the New Zealand Post Office
Article Abstract:
The reorganization of the New Zealand Post Office in 1987 resulted in a turnaround in the government-owned enterprise's financial fortunes as the formerly unprofitable postal service showed substantial gains in revenues. A change in leadership as well as changes in organizational structure were credited with the increased profitability of the New Zealand Post Office. The creation of a management team and the lesser number of people sitting in the board of directors further increased the post office's efficiency.

The odds of a 3.5m sterling bet
Article Abstract:
Some members of the UK Law Society are displeased by the Society's 3.5 million pounds sterling advertising campaign which aims to improve the image of lawyers. There has not been research into the necessity for such a campaign for in-house lawyers, and some in-house lawyers do not think that the campaign is to their advantage, though they are having to help fund it. According to a senior lawyer with a leading firm, his contribution to the Law Society is being misspent.
