There's blood on every brick

Article Abstract:

Novelist Eric Miles Williamson recalls that music was a very significant element of the tough environment in which he grew up. He feels that music is not necessarily lyrical, and believes that his musical background assisted his writing from its initial stages. He wrote 'East Bay Grease,' his autobiographical novel, for two audiences: a college professor and his brothers. He is now adapting this novel for cinema.
