Visitors to Florida's Everglades marsh region can gain an insight into how the Miccosukee Indians have lived for many generations. There is an Indian village on the Tamiami Trail, although this seems to be designed as a tourist attraction, being run mainly by white people. Other attractions include the 12-mile Turner River Trail, a circular route in Big Cypress on the north side of the US41. Here, it is possible to see wildlife including alligators and ibis.

Is also worth driving northeast through the seaside resorts of Rosas, Spain, and Cadaques, Spain, to the mountainous headland of Cap de Creus.
