Time Warner rejection of quick brown Fox sparks conflagration
Article Abstract:
Turner Broadcasting, which has recently merged with Time Warner, is taking a tough stand against Rupert Murdoch, whose Fox News 24-hour cable service is seeking to establish a presence in New York. Time Warner Cable had promised Murdoch that it would find space on its system for Fox News, but it has now stated that it will carry MSNBC, launched in summer 1996 by Microsoft and NBC, instead. Murdoch has responded by filing a suit against Time Warner, claiming that it has been guilty of anti-trust conspiracy.
