What Kirsty did next
Article Abstract:
There is an unwillingness in the UK to recognize the value of music from other countries, according to singer Kirsty MacColl. She has travelled extensively in Cuba and Brazil since 1992, and her travels have given her a lot of musical inspiration. The lighthearted atmosphere of 'Tropical Brainstorm,' the album she is to release in Mar 2000, is very different from the sadness of 'Titanic Days.' She recalls that she was very unhappy when she recorded 'Titanic Days,' and acknowledges that it is necessary to be quite strong to listen to it.
