When it comes to saving lives, one Mo Mowlam is worth 100 missiles

Article Abstract:

There are arguments that terorism should be viewed from a relativist context, and that some people may perceive men as freedom fighters whom others see as terrorists. This type of argument has little meaning when children die, as occurred in Omagh, Northern Ireland, and when Palestinians, Kenyans and others are killed. Political solutions can be effective in dealing with terrorism. Decisions on how to tackle the problem should not be made at the graveside of victims. There may be occasions when it is effective to physically tackle terrorism, but reactions should not be too hasty.
