Where there's a Will, there's a way

Article Abstract:

Modern adaptations are serving to revive interest in Shakespeare's plays. They often use very dramatic special effects, but the basic poetry and themes remain unharmed. It is exciting to see a new generation of actors and actresses becoming involved with Shakespeare, and it is also very interesting to see an actor or actress who is familiar for another role appearing in a Shakespeare play. Shakespeare is adapted for each new generation, but there remains a strong sense of ownership for everyone.

The trainer turned bystander

Article Abstract:

Owning a horse is seen as a business nowadays, rather than a pleasure, according to former National Hunt trainer John Bosely. However, he welcomes the fact that horse racing has become more democratic over recent years, being no longer simply a pastime for the very wealthy. He was an amateur jockey in the 1950s and 1960s, and was unusual at that time because he did not come from a wealthy family. He has a great love of horses, and has always put this before making money.

Suffering does not fit us for law-making

Article Abstract:

It has become increasingly common for groups representing the victims of a particular disaster, such as the Dunblane massacre, to take on a political role. It is right that these groups are allowed to express their views, but it must be remembered that they do not necessarily have a part to play in politics. In some cases, these groups are arguing against a strong majority interest, and there is an inherent danger in fundamentalism of any kind.
