Where there's smoke there's pressure

Article Abstract:

There has been considerable controversy surrounding recent revelations that CBS exercised self-censorship by toning down a planned report on moves by the tobacco industry to suppress the results of its own research into nicotine and cancer. CBS lawyers did not want to run the risk of legal action from the tobacco industry, indicating that the industry is still extremely powerful. It has a strong hold over the Republican party, being its largest contributor, and is still able to cause fear among television networks.

However, at least 50 people are believed to still be trapped inside the Sungshan Hotel, which collapsed.
