Changing the world - of fashion, at least

Article Abstract:

It is important to be active in supporting important political and environmental causes, according to fashion designer Katharine Hamnett. She has not been afraid to attract controversy with her sometimes rather unconventional views, and has been involved in a number of different causes. However, she is now becoming more cautious, as she is aware that her involvement can sometimes be misinterpreted. Her clothes have changed since she went into business in 1979, but the overall image is tough and sexy.
