You can't palm off the scent of pine

Article Abstract:

The London Symphony Orchestra has honoured its commitment to tour in Israel, despite the tense political situation in the Middle East. The orchestra has been touring to Israel since 1960, and was very keen to reestablish cultural links after the Gulf War. Its most recent tour is taking place under the auspices of the Israel Philharmonic, and involves six separate concerts sharing two basic programmes. The key attraction is Beethoven's Violin Concerto, with violinist Maxim Vengerov as soloist.
