Article Abstract:

Guy's Hospital in London is experimenting with a robot which has been programmed to carry out delicate operations automatically, with no intervention from surgeons. The hospital recognises that computers and robots are playing an increasingly significant role in medicine, and believe that there is great potential for robotics. Using a robot can considerably reduce operating times, and robots are also more accurate than humans.
