You're not going out like that ... are you?

Article Abstract:

The designs displayed in the spring 2000 fashion collections in Milan, Italy, were often brash and daring. Domenica Dolce & Stefano Gabbana's D&G diffusion range included tiger-print leggings, vinyl hotpants and fringed boots, while Antonio Berardi used a team of gymnasts to emphasize the sportswear element of his collection. Giorgio Armani's clothes generally look quiet and sophisticated, but the latest collection has more colour and a more upbeat mood.

We'll take Manhattan by storm

Article Abstract:

The 1999 New York Fashion Week had a strong American theme. Tommy Hilfinger made extensive use of red, white and blue, while Ralph Lauren used red and white gingham checks. Alexander McQueen's collection included red, white and blue sportswear, and Marc Jacobs featured deluxe denim in the form of biker jackets, drainpipe trousers and sun dresses. British designer Tanya Sarne showed that fashion design can be both directional and commercial.
