A dream come true: a group of volunteers turned their vision of a coastal hiking trail into one of Newfoundland's hottest tourist attractions

Article Abstract:

A group of 600 volunteers formed the East Coast Trail Assn with the goal of establishing a coastal hiking trail in Newfoundland. The trail that connected Cape Francis and Cape Race has become one of the most popular tourist attractions.

Hiking in the mist

Article Abstract:

The Juan de Fuca Marine Trail in Canada is a 47 kilometre trail which leads past beaches and coves and through temperate rainforest. A personal narrative is presented of the trail, where whales, bears and starfish can all be seen.

A geologist's dream

Quebec's Parc d'Aiguebelle features a unique landscape that features a rocky terrain and deep valleys. The stones in the park, which was developed in 1985, are one of the oldest in the world.
