Hopi ancestors

Article Abstract:

The project aim to investigate Chevelon Ruin, at 500 rooms the third-largest of the 7 pueblo complexes in the Homol'ovi cluster, occupied form roughly A.D. 1280-1380. Dr. Charles Adams his project team at Chevelon will map the site and conduct excavation to establish a chronology of how the village grew, what its main activities were, and why it was burned and abandoned.

Prehistoric pueblos of the American Southwest

Article Abstract:

The project aims to excavate settlements in a cultural borderland to discover the relationships between ancient peoples. The project team will reveal the history of the whole Rio Alamosa drainage and make the information available to educators, government agencies, and Native Americans.
