Article Abstract:

The pipeline system and a new pumping station, constructed as a part of the Lake Chapman Water supply Project, will supply water to the Dallas-Fort Worth region at an affordable cost. Project analysis indicates that the reliability of pipelines and cost reduction are due to the pipeline specifications and the bidding process followed.

This article discusses the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan designed to restore original water flow patterns of the Lake Okeechobee to the Gulf of Mexico. The restoration plan comprises of several water managment projects catering to local water supplies and natural flows to the Florida Everglades.
