Values of postpartum women from the inner city: an exploratory study
Article Abstract:
An exploratory study was conducted of the values of inner-city postpartum women. The participants were given the Rokeach Value Scale and told to prioritize the terminal values and the instrumental values. Economic values received higher rankings from the inner-city mothers compared to the national sample. The findings indicate that the values of inner-city single postpartum women are a mixture of mainstream values and values adapted to the conditions of poverty.

Interior decorators discuss how interpersonal skills are vital in their jobs, and how sometimes they feel like therapists to their clients. A good decorator makes a client feel relatively calm and helps a client determine what they really want rather than what a parent, spouse or friend may want.
