From snapshots of distant galaxies, a history emerges

Article Abstract:

The Hubble Space Telescope and the Keck telescope have produced images of distant galaxies in various stages of evolution, a feat not previously possible. One team is studying very distant galaxies with redshifts over 3.0, which appear to be in the early stages of formation.

Galaxies keep going with the flow

Article Abstract:

Astronomers are perplexed because no matter where they observe, galaxies seem to be in motion. The great flow seems to be unevenly directed at one part of the sky. Astronomers are not all in agreement with the notion of such a migration. Opposing views are also presented.
