High-tech text

Article Abstract:

The American Society of Civil Engineers has developed the 'Fluid Mechanics: An Interactive Text' CD-ROM to provide engineering students and professors with an innovative way of teaching and understanding engineering concepts. The CD-ROM enables students to focus on the fluid mechanics problems rather than solving equations, thereby making the experience more fun and interactive. Meanwhile, the federal government has also funded the Digital Libraries Initiative, which uses the digital technology option to develop a library of physics and engineering journals.
