How cosmology became a science
Article Abstract:
The big bang theory is usually accepted by cosmologists because of the implications of cosmic background radiation. A discussion is presented of the aspects of of cosmology theories. Scientists continue to investigate questions regarding the expansion of the earth and concerns of black holes in the universe.

The 'inflation' theory of Stanford University physicist Andrei D. Linde states that the universe grew quickly after the big bang and then slowed its rate of expansion. Computer simulation illustrates this theory.
