Iowa State University unveils moving tornado simulator
Article Abstract:
Iowa State University has created the largest moving tornado simulator for engineering research, which is designed to create realistic wind loads on model structures. An evaluation of how different vortices affect sale models of high-rise, low-rise, and dome-shaped buildings, as well as structures as slender chimneys and transmission towers is presented.
