Supporters and opponents of a proposed nuclear waste dump in Ward Valley, CA, oppose a study proposed by the US Department of the Interior. Supporters view the study as another delay tactic, while opponents believe the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, assigned to conduct the study, is biased.

AMS adds realism to chemical risk assessment
Article Abstract:
Researchers are using AMS to test the health effects of suspected carcinogens and other chemicals. The technique may replace current techniques that subject rats to high doses of chemicals. AMS is a more practical method and allows the testing of everyday levels of exposure.
