Shelf-life
Article Abstract:
Stock control involves balancing of inventory value, operating costs and customer services. Risk management, monitoring and measurements help to improve customer service and reduce stocks simultaneously. Stock reduction can be done by decreasing input while increasing the output. Safety stock should be sufficient to manage services. Stock value can be reduced by minimizing delivery quantities. The methodology for reductions in stock values, while improving the stock availability, is described.
