Article Abstract:

Russian astronauts on board the Mir, were challenged by accidents constantly occurring in the space station since it started orbiting in 1987. Mishaps like coolant leaks, inefficient solar batteries and minor collisions did not overwhelm the crew but provided lessons for them.
