Supply and demand
Article Abstract:
Research suggests that human mate choice is more complex than mate choice among zoo chimpanzees. While cage assignment is the simple indicator of mate choice for the animals, fecundity tends to influence the decision of human males in choosing their female partners. On the other hand, the demand for male partners largely depends on income as well as risk of future pair-bond termination.
