Taxonomies in the strategic management of health technology: the case of multiperiod compartmental HIV/AIDS policy models

Article Abstract:

A matrix-based taxonomy of policy-oriented multiperiod compartmental HIV/AIDS epidemic models is presented. The taxonomy is an extension of multidimensional taxonomies in the strategic management of health technology and it features a method of identifying and classifying the structure and parameters of the model by compartment characteristics, infection mechanisms, mixing patterns, intervention strategies, epidemiological and health economic impact measures.

Identifying requirements for the management of medical information technology

Article Abstract:

Analysis of medical technology management system requirements reveals that scenario modelling may be used to effectively identify medical informatics requirements. The study also reveals that important criteria includes identifying social values that the system will be required to mediate, stakeholders who will perform the mediation and the resources required by the mediation process.
