The end of the everglades?: Supreme court case jeopardizes 90 percent of US wetland
Article Abstract:
The details about US wetlands in Medfield that could lose federal protection if the Supreme Court rules in favor of plaintiffs who say that Clean Water Act goes too far, is reported. Land developers are supposed to compensate by creating wetlands elsewhere, but these replacements are often far from the original site, both breaking up the natural ecosystem and sacrificing original habitat conditions.
