VentureStar: 21st century space shuttle
Article Abstract:
The VentureStar will be the reusable space launcher of the future capable of lifting 40,000-pound payloads at only 10% of the cost of existing launchers. An experimental scale model of the VentureStar is now being developed for launching in 1999.

Choppers to the rescue

Several helicopter models that were developed specifically for search and rescue operations are presented. These include the Erickson Air-Crane, the Emergency Rescue Vehicle, the Sikorsky S-92 and the Bell 609.
