Analyzing molecular structure with astronomical speed
Article Abstract:
The Siemens Molecular Analysis Research Tool (SMART) diffractometer uses a charge-coupled device to gather hundreds of x-ray reflections of a molecule's structure. The device can analyze a new molecule in a few hours. Previous methods took days.
