A nurse-led interdisciplinary intervention program for delirium in elderly hip-fracture patients

Article Abstract:

This article examines the effects of an interdisciplinary intervention program managed by nurses on symptoms of delirium in older patients being treated for hip fractures. Findings indicate that patients who participated in the nurse-led intervention experienced reductions in delirium duration and severity when compared to patients receiving standard care.
