Outcomes of anesthesia and surgery in people 100 years of age and older
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to assess the outcomes of anesthesia and surgery for female and male subjects aged 100 years of age and older. Forty-two procedures were conducted on 31 men and women aged between 100 and 107. The results revealed that people over 100 with operable diseases or injuries should not be denied surgical intervention because of the risks associated with their age.
