Underlying mechanisms of impaired visceral pain perception in older people
Article Abstract:
The published pathophysiological data on sensory transmission from visceral organ is reviewed. Suggestions are presented on how newer experimental and neuroimaging techniques help to increase understanding of the issue and clinical applicability.
