Alcohol consumption in elderly people across European countries: Results from the food in later life project
Article Abstract:
Social and cultural aspects of alcohol consumption in a sample of older people living in their own homes, in eight different European countries are identified. Several aspects of alcohol consumption are explored, establishing comparisons between genders, age groups and living circumstances.

Midlife loss of parents: The transition from adult to orphan
Article Abstract:
An insight on the transition experienced by midlife adults on the death of a parent is presented. The difference between the first and subsequent loss of parents and the way in which adult sons and daughters experience this differentially is discussed.
