Depressed mood and body mass index as predictors of muscle strength decline in old men
Article Abstract:
Older men with low body weight may experience depressed mood, which may be associated with greater risk of pronounced strength decline. A prospective cohort study of 2,275 paticipants, averge age 77, was carried out to study the association.

Anemia is associated with disability and decreased physical performance and muscle strength in the elderly
Article Abstract:
The association between anemia and disability, physical performance, and muscle strength is examined. It is found that anemia is common among elderly people of 70 years of age and above, averaging about 13 percent.
