Arginine vasopressin levels in nursing home residents with nighttime urinary incontinence

Article Abstract:

Studies demonstrate that urinary incontinence is directly correlated to levels of arginine vasopressin in patients. Nursing home residents experiencing nighttime incontinence were found to be deficient in arginine vasopressin production and/or secretion. Further research is needed, however, before exogenous vasopressin can be recommended for treatment.
