Empowering assisted living front-line care staffs to better care for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents
Article Abstract:
Identifying the training needs of front-line care staff's members, and creating a training manual, which would empower them to conduct their care duties in a more confident, effective, and sensitive manner are the main purpose of the qualitative research study. Using a training manual could increase the front-line care staffs' job satisfaction and job commitment.

"I think a woman can take it": widowed men's views and experiences of gender differences in bereavement
Article Abstract:
The similarity and differences between the views and experiences of the widowed men within a framework of masculinity is discussed where men believe that women are better equipped to deal with widowhood. It is argued that the experiences of widowed men may be understood in a masculinity framework if one incorporates notions of diversity and social change.

Between-and within-person variation in affect and personality over days and years: how basic and applied approaches can inform one another

The researchers should be able to distinguish within-person from between-person because it is at the heart of important theoretical problems in ageing and development. It is important for researchers and practitioners to comprehend what it means for person to vary from himself or herself, and what it means for one person to vary from another.
