Human aging and duration judgments: a meta-analytic review
Article Abstract:
A meta-analytic assessment of differences in duration judgments as made by younger and older adults was conducted. Showing substantial age-related differences, the study showed that older adults are more likely than younger ones to give larger verbal estimates and make shorter, and more variable, productions of duration. However, no differences in terms of age were noted in reproduction of duration or in the psychophysical slope that links judged and target duration.
