The validity of nutritional status as a marker for future disability and depressive symptoms among high-risk older adults

Article Abstract:

A checklist for identifying high-risk older persons whose nutritional status may indicate future disability and depressive symptoms is analyzed. Results indicate that the ten-item questionnaire about eating habits may improve the effectiveness of preventative interventions by identifying those who are most likely to suffer functional disability and depression in a year's time.
