Incidence of and predictors for chronic disability in activities of daily living among older people in Taiwan
Article Abstract:
Incidence of predictors for chronic disability in activities of daily living (ADLs) is discussed based on a study carried out over three years in Taiwan with 1,321community-dwelling people 65 or older and initially ADL intact as subjects. Findings showed risk of chronic ADL disability was positively associated with lack of routine exercise.

How age and daytime activities are related to insomnia in the general population: consequence for older people
Article Abstract:
This article examines the relationship between daily activity levels, social interaction, and insomnia among European adults. Findings indicate that age is not associated with sleep problems and that inactivity, diseases, mental illness, and inadequate social interaction are significant predictors of insomnia across age groups.

Association between mild vascular cognitive impairment and impaired activities of daily living in older stroke survivors without dementia
Article Abstract:
A study analyzing the correlation between the mild vascular cognitive impairment and functional disability in the elderly persons who survived stroke without dementia is presented. It is observed that if the early cognitive impairments on account of stroke are taken care of, the onset of dementia because of it can be prevented.
