Inflammatory and thrombotic blood makers and walking-related disability in men and women with and without peripheral arterial disease
Article Abstract:
The study conducted to determine whether higher circulating levels of thrombotic and inflammatory markers are associated with greater disability is reported. Higher circulating D-dimer and high-sensitivity C-reaction protein (hsCRP) levels are associated with greater disability in walking and physical functioning in individuals with and without peripheral arterial disease (PAD).

Assessing environmentally determined mobility disability: self-report versus observed community mobility
Article Abstract:
Impairment of mobility in elderly persons can disturb their activities of daily living and bring in disabilities that can disturb their independent living. A study of environment as a factor that disturbs the mobility of some of the elderly persons is presented. While so, all the elderly will not be affected in the same manner or to same extent by a given environmental factor.
