Who walks? Factors associated with walking behavior in disabled older women with and without self-reported walking difficulty
Article Abstract:
Factors associated with walking behavior have been studied in disabled older women with and without walking difficulty as self-reported. The study sought to find out how severity of walking difficulty and sociodemographic, health-related and psychosocial factors enter in. The factors, even in functionally limited women, associated independently. Programs intended to improve walking ability should address these factors in addition to walking difficulties.
