People aged over 75 in atrial fibrillation on warfarin: the rate of major hemorrhage and stroke in more than 500 patient-years of follow-up
Article Abstract:
Warfarin is used as an anticoagulant agent by patients suffering with atrial fibrillation and strokes. There is a presumption of excessive hemorrhage resulting from the usage of warfarin. A study examining the effectiveness of warfarin in patients suffering with atrial fibrillation and strokes who are aged above 75 years is presented.
