Litigation or redesign: Improving pressure ulcer prevention
Article Abstract:
Juries are issuing lawsuits to the Texas nursing homes on their failure to provide adequate nutrition and care for pressure ulcer. Texas Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services is trying to improve the quality of services to reflect the problem. Change that occurred in the health care services from the past few years is discussed.
