Older adults ' fear and acceptance of death: a transition model

Article Abstract:

A research was carried among 109 elders ranging in age from seventy to ninety-seven years, to analyze the increased fear of death in the transition period. The increased fear of death is predicted for elders in the late seventies or early eighties, which is evoked by the tension between the urge to survive and the awareness of limited survival time.
