Potentially inappropriate medication use by elderly persons in U.S. health maintenance organizations, 2000 - 2001
Article Abstract:
A cross-sectional study using automated medication dispensing data system involving 1,57,571 members aged 65 years and older and enrolled in a health maintenance organization (HMO), and determining rates of potentially inappropriate medication in elderly persons indicates that the rate of potentially inappropriate medication among elderly HMO members in the year 1996 was high.
