Relationship of psychosocial and background variables to older adults' end-of-life decisions
Article Abstract:
A survey of 388 individuals aged 60 and above was conducted to find out their attitude towards end-of-life decisions, particularly in cases of terminal illness or non-terminal ones which lead to low quality of life. Results indicate that majority favor continuation of life despite the hardships while a moderate-sized number would leave the crucial decision to family members of friends. Only a very small number favored such methods as suicide or euthanasia.

Caregiving decision making by older mothers and adult children: Process and expected outcome
Article Abstract:
A study on dyadic caregiving decision-making by older mothers and adult children where mother-son teams and mother-daughter teams were paired is illustrated. The outcome showed that adult children, especially sons, dominated the decision making by talking more and introducing new alternatives than did their mothers and also the mother-son pairs had more negative outcomes.
