Selective impairment of frontal-executive cognitive function in African Americans with cardiovascular risk factors
Article Abstract:
A cross-sectional study, to determine whether a summary cardiovascular risk (CV) score is associated with an increased risk of frontal-executive is presented. CV risk factors exert a specific deleterious effect on frontal-executive cognitive abilities as opposed to memory functions.

Alternative therapy use by elderly African Americans attending a community clinic
Article Abstract:
The use of orally ingested alternative therapies (OAT) by a community dwelling is described. Findings indicate that community dwelling, mostly African-American elders use OAT's despite physical frailty and limited financial resources.
