Sixteen-year longitudinal and time lag changes in memory and cognition in older adults
Article Abstract:
Two groups of adults were studied to assess the impact of aging on memory. One group was aged between 30-years-old and 36-years-old when the study began, and the other groups was aged between 55-years-old and 81-years-old. There was a decline of performance in a range of intelligence and recall tasks for the older group when tested 16 years afterwards, though recognition appeared to be little affected. Both groups performed in a similar way when they were in their 70s, so the change appears to be due to aging rather than to differences between the groups.

Estimating age change in list recall in Asset and Health Dynamics of Oldest-Old: The effects of attrition bias and missing data treatment
Article Abstract:
Average change in list recall is evaluated as a function of missing data treatment and dropout status over ages 70 to 105 in Asset and Health Dynamics of the Oldest-Old data. It is concluded that change estimates are most accurate when independent predictors of missingness are included in the treatment of missing data with either multiple imputation (MI) or full information maximum likelihood (FIMI), and when dropout effects are modeled.

Longitudinal hierarchical linear models of the memory functioning questionnaire
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted on the hypotheses about the nature of self-rated memory as measured by the Memory Functioning Questionnaire. Frequency of Forgetting and significant individual differences in slopes for Frequency, Retrospective Functioning, and Mnemonics is an exception to the declining trends in the MFQ's ratings.
