Sky Walkinstik-Man-Alone, Native American traditional flautist, received the Choice Hotels International Choice Champion award. His work as an electronics specialist made him nearly deaf, but deafness did not keep him from playing the flute. During concerts, he also gives lectures on Native American music.

Author Linda Ellerbee believes that growing older means making new choices. She says when she turned 50, she made a choice to start doing new things and paying more attention to her health. She also believes that most people from her generation turn 50 without encountering any problems.
